5. Install the Data Link Connector (3) to the steering
column opening cover (2) by pushing the connector
through the opening on the back side of the cover
and fully engaging the lock tabs (1) of the connector.
6. Install the two fasteners (2) that secure the steering
column opening cover (1) to the instrument panel.
7. Position the hood release handle onto the column
opening cover and fully engage the retainer clip that
secures the hood release handle to the steering
column opening cover.
8. Connect the negative battery cable.
PROGRAMMING THE WIN
CAUTION: Read all notes and cautions for programming procedures.
NOTE: Have the vehicle PIN readily available before running the routine
CAUTION: If the PCM and WIN are replaced at the same time, the PCM MUST be programmed before the WIN.
1. Connect a battery charger to the vehicle.
2. With the wiTECH diagnostic application, perform the following steps:
• Select "WIRELESS CONTROL MODULE (WCM)"
• Select the "MISCELLANEOUS FUNCTIONS" tab
• Highlight "WIN REPLACED"
• Select the "Start Misc Function" button
