HOOD SWITCH AND HARNESS INSTALLATION
1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
If equipped with an auxiliary battery, disconnect
and isolate the auxiliary battery's negative cable
as well.
NOTE: Engine removed from graphic for clarity.
2. Remove the push pin retainers (2) and the upper ra­
diator seal/shroud (1).
3. Using a grease pencil or equivalent, mark the position
of the hood latch (1) on the upper radiator crossmem­
ber.
4. Remove the two bolts (3) that secure the hood latch
to the upper radiator crossmember.
5. Disconnect the hood latch cable (1) from the hood
latch (5) and remove the latch.
