6. Connect the hood latch cable to the hood latch assem­
bly (1).
7. Position the hood latch assembly (1) to the upper ra­
diator crossmember and loosely install the two bolts
that secure the latch to the crossmember.
8. Align the hood latch assembly (1) to the upper radiator
crossmember using the reference marks made during
the removal procedure and tighten the bolts to 11 N∙m
(8 ft. lbs.).
NOTE: There may be an usused factory installed
hood switch harness taped back on the existing
vehicle harness located behind the radiator just
below the upper radiator crossmember. If present,
detach it, route it under the radiator crossmember
through to the hood latch assembly and connect.
If the factory hood switch harness is not present,
follow steps 9­32.
9. Using the supplied wiring harness in the kit, connect
the hood switch harness (1) to the hood latch assem­
bly (2).
10. Route the hood switch harness (2) under the upper
radiator crossmember towards the left side of the ve­
hicle.
11. Secure the hood switch harness (2) as necessary to
the existing vehicle harness using the tie straps (1) in­
cluded in the kit.
