Important information
Purpose
Coral mobile chair is a very versatile chair. It can be used as both a commode, a shower chair, and a chair for indoor
transportation. Coral mobile chair has fold up armrests, a useful feature for both caregiver and user in situations of as-
sistance and transfers.
The mobile chair is particularly suitable for immobile persons, who are not able to walk to the toilet and bathroom by
themselves and therefore need sassistance with toileting and personal hygiene. The chair is intended for short-term
use only.
Maintenance / Cleaning
To ensure optimal operation, the following should be regularly reviewed:
•
Inspect and clean the castors of dust and dirt.
•
Inspect and clean the castor brakes of dust and dirt.
•
Check if the E-clips (see drawing 4 and 5, page 6) are securely fastened.
The chair is to be wiped clean after use. Clean Coral mobile chair with dnon-abrasive, non-corrosive domestic cleaning
agents. Solvents and chlorine should not be applied. The chair surfaces can be disinfected with all
disinfectants that are approved by Health Authorities.
The toilet rails can be detached for cleaning purposes.
Make sure to reattach all removed parts correctly.
Reuse
Follow the above procedure. Defective or worn parts must be replaced.
Caution
Max. load Coral mobile chairs: 150 kg / 330 lbs.
Max. load per armrest: 75 kg / 165 lbs.
Check the condition of the E-clips frequently.
Regularly check that the E-clips are inserted correctly into the tubing.
Regularly check that all parts are in place and secured.
It is advisable to lock the castors outwards when Coral mobile chair is not being used for transportation.
If the castors are detached, it is important to mount them again correctly. Make sure all 4 legs have the same height.
Avoid having your fingers/hands between the armrest rear and the backrest when the armrest are to be folded down, as it
might cause a risk of squeezing fingers/hands.
The chair is only to be used on an even surface.
The bed pan/bucket is only to be inserted or removed when the user is not in the chair.
Do not place the chair in direct sunlight, as it might cause a hot surface on the seat or at the backrest.
Disposal
The plastic parts should be sorted as incinerated and stainless steel parts as metal.
