Advanced - Listening Port
This screen shows the «Listening Port» information configured using the IP Decoder's
dip-switch. The port's current value will be shown in the «Port» field.
It is also possible to configure the listening port from this screen, as described in the
section below:
Listening Port Configuration
The Listening Port can be configured in 2 ways:
1- Using the IP Decoder's dip-switch.
The dip-switch allows the use of binary code, inputting a value between 0 and 255.
* If a value between 1 and 255 is configured (see the dip-switch configuration section in
Appendix II) add 50,000 to this value to obtain the port number configured.
Example: if the number 1 is configured using the dip-switch:
the port's value will be: 1 + 50,000 = 50,001
* If the number 0 is configured using the dip-switch:
the value assigned to the «Listening Port» will be the value entered in the web server's
«Port» field.
2- From the «Advanced» screen on the IP Decoder''s web server.
- Configure the number 0 on the IP Decoder's dip-switch (all the dip-switches are set to
OFF).
- Enter the value to be assigned to the required «Listening Port»: between 50,001 and
50,255.
IMPORTANT:
- Every time a port number is coded using the dip-switch the Decoder must be reset
to update the new port value.
- There cannot be two IP Decoder's with the same Listening Port value on the one
system.
