Appendix l: IP Address Configuration via the PC
Follow the steps below:
1- From Start, go to Settings => Control Panel.
2- Double-click on Network Connections. A screen appears, showing all the active
networks.
3- Right-click on the network icon and from
the pop-up menu select the Properties
option. The following screen appears:
4- Double-click on Internet Protocol (TCP/
IP). The following screen appears:
5- Change the IP Address field by
entering an IP address that is compatible
with the Decoder's IP address, i.e. an IP
address of the same type as the address
assigned to the Decoder in the factory,
for example 192.168.1.201.
6- Click Accept in this screen and in the
previous screen for the change of IP
address to take effect.
At this point the PC's IP address is the same type as that of the IP Decoder, such that when
you open internet explorer and enter the IP Decoder's web address, this will establish
communication and the Decoder's web server start-up screen will appear.
If the Decoder's IP address subsequently changes (see the «Configuration» section) you
must re-modify the PC's IP address to integrate it with a local network etc.
