Clearing Material Jams
If too much material (paper, CDs, credit cards) is fed to the cutting mechanism at one
time, the material jams. The OVERLOAD warning lamp lights up and an acoustic alarm
is issued. The motor switches to reverse and it should be possible for the user to pull the
the paper directly out of the infeed, using a little force if necessary. The motor then stops.
If there is still material in the infeed, proceed as follows:
Press and hold the REV button and allow the material to be ejected out of the
machine in reverse mode.
Press and hold the FWD button and allow the material to be removed from the
machine in forward mode.
If necessary, remove any residual material manually from the automatic paper infeed.
The machine then reverts to AUTO mode.
Reduce the quantity of material being fed into the shredder.
