– Cut the guide spiral liner off flush to the torch neck, with ABIMIG
on the contact tip holder.
– Make sure there is no burr on the cutting edge.

about correct procedure for assembly, consult chapter 11
entitled "Servicing".

Assembling the torch neck
A. Torch neck ABIMIG
1. Screw the gas diffusor to the fixed contact tip holder.
2. Screw the contact tip into the contact tip holder and tighten the contact tip
using the multiple spanner.
3. Insert the gas nozzle onto the torch head by means of a slight turn in the
clockwise direction.

B. Torch neck ABIMIG
1. Screw the changeable contact tip holder into the torch neck.
2. Screw the gas diffusor to the contact tip holder.
3. Screw the contact tip into the contact tip holder and tighten the contact tip
using the multiple spanner.
4. Insert the gas nozzle onto the torch head by means of a slight turn in the
clockwise direction.

C. Torch neck ABIMIG
1. Insert the contact tip into the collet chuck and screw both parts into the torch
neck by hand.
2. Fasten both parts using the multiple spanner.
3. Screw the gas diffusor in place.
4. Insert the gas nozzle with adapter as far as it will go and then tighten the
adapter.
