the electronic panel in sequence.
- Will then switch off automatically and LEDS 30-31 LED 29 lights permanently
to indicate that the turbine is in AUTOMATIC mode, while LED 28 lights perma-
nently to indicate that the turbine is powered;
- Select the operating mode (MANUAL or AUTOMATIC) by pressing button (33).
Alternate use of turbines 1 and 2
The microprocessor of the electronic control is specifically programmed to
alternate the position of the turbines so that they are used for the same amount of
time.
Checking the direction of rotation of the pump
The pump has a tree-phase motor and is designed to rotate in both directions:
during the installation of the turbine and initial start-up, check that the air flow of
both pump matches the direction shown on the adhesive arrows.
Otherwise, reconnect the power cord, inverting two phases.
INDICATORS, SAFETY DEVICES AND ALARMS
All RUPES turbines automatically display the following messages:
Replace filter
The message prompting the user to replace the main filter is displayed every
2,500 hours.
To ensure a correct operation of the pump and prevent potential damage, it is
necessary to call the support center and have the main filter replaced.
Low vacuum warning (on model HE1500 only)
Message "MINIMUM VACUUM" displays when the vacuum is low.
This problem may originate from one of the following causes:
- Leaks in the vacuum system (verify there are no leaks and contact the support
center if necessary)
- Excessive number of active suction points (reduce the number or active suction
points in order to optimize suction in all locations)
Stop due to overtemperature
The pump is fitted with a temperature sensor (37). If the temperature exceeds the
limit, the turbine stops and message
"HIGH TEMPERATURE"
displays.
As soon as the correct temperature value is reached, message "TEMPERATURE
OK: power cycle the unit to restart it" displays.
If the problem persists, immediately stop the turbine using the main switch and
contact the support center.
Stop triggered by magnetothermal device (on model HE1500 only)
If one or both magnetothermal protection devices enable, message "TURBINE
STOPPED" (x = "1", "2", "1 and 2") displays. If only one of the 2 pumps stops,
it is possible to continue operating the turbine with 1 pump only.
Contact the support center for assistance.
Safety valve
Each turbine is fitted with a vacuum-limiting safety valve (36), which is calibrated
to limit the vacuum value and prevent the machine from overheating.
RUPES Spa shall not be responsible for direct or indirect damage originating from
the tampering with or alteration of the safety valve.

GENERAL MAINTENANCE

Ordinary maintenance (by the user)
- Check the condition of the compressed air feed hoses and relative connections;
- check the condition of the dust suction pipes;
- periodically replace the dust bag;
-drain the condensate from the pressure regulator collection tray (9) daily by ro-
tating screw (10) anticlockwise.
TROUBLESHOOTING AND SOLUTION
EFFECTS
The turbine will not start
The turbine will not start
in automatic
Poor suction capacity
Dust leaks from the turbine
discharge
Compressed air does not arrive at the distributor
Adjusting the regulator
change in the pressure gauge reading
The dust bag is housed in a container (17) located inside a compartment (7) .
Each morning, prior to starting the turbine, visually inspect the correct positioning
of the dust bag and the contents, which must not be more than 3/4 of the capa-
city of the bag itself.
Replacing the dust bag:
- Switch off the turbine completely by turn the knob (27) to OFF to switch the shut
down the machine.
- Open door (7) and the filter housing will lift automatically to free the dust bag.
Extract the container (17) and free the dust bag (18) from the plastic ring (19).
Remove the bag (18) containing the dust and seal it with a clip. See the se-
quence in Fig. 6 - 7 - 8 - 9.
Hook the bag (18) onto the plastic ring (19) and fix it in position in its housing (Fig.
5 A) using the elastic (Fig. 5 C). Tilt the bag so that the pressure balancing holes
(Fig. 5 B) are free. Place the bag in the container ensuring that it is well spread on
the bottom of the container. Place all the components inside the compartment and
close the door (7).
The utmost care must be taken when carrying out these operations to prevent dust
from being allowed to enter the environment. Wear a dust mask like 3M cod.
06922.
The sealed bag must be delivered to an authorised disposal centre.
Filter cleaning system
When the motor is switched on, in either automatic or manual mode, the filter
cleaning system will carry out a periodic filter cleaning cycle of duration 3
seconds. This system allows the filter cartridge to operate efficiently. It is also
possible to perform manual cleaning cycles by pressing button (34).On models
HE900 and HE1500, the length of the cycle varies according to how long you keep
the button pressed.
Extraordinary maintenance (by the service centre)
Extraordinary maintenance and the repairs listed below must be carried out by
specialised electronic personnel authorised by RUPES Spa Before gaining ac-
cess to the internal parts of the turbine, disconnect the unit from the mains elec-
tricity supply. Lock the eternal panel using padlock to prevent accidental start-up.
The key to the padlock must be kept by the person responsible for factory safety.
RUPES Spa. will not be held responsible for direct or indirect damages resulting
from non-compliance with the requirements of this manual. Use the hour meter
feature as reference.
Suction pump (12)
The unit does not require maintenance if used continuously for 8 hours a day.
Replace the bearings every 20,000 hours. Check the conditions of the electric
cables every 6 months and verify that the cooling grid is cleaned.
Hoses (13-14)
Check the tightness of the clips every 6 months.
Filter (15)
Check every 6 months. Replace every 2,500 hours.
Complete pneumatic plant
Check for leaks every 6 months.
Electronic panel (5)
Check the tightening of all clamps every 6 moths, clean all the internal compo-
nents with dry and low pressure compressed air, and check the working condi-
tions of the thermal protection device.
Turbine structure
During the periodic inspections, check the tightness of all bolts, in particular the
four adjustable feet (Fig. 3).
CAUSES
