2. Tuning instructions
The channel units are tuned using the central control unit of the base module carriers UFG 308/UFG 312/UFG313
(see instructions for use for base units).
Required software status of the control unit for this channel unit : ≥ 7.10.
General information :
I For display of the bootloader's software version, the control unit and the channel unit, press simultaneously
the keys "+", "–" and "?" at the same time.
I To receive further information on a selected parameter, press the "?" key.
I Saving new data for the channel unit should only be effected with the red key after the cassette has finished the search
successfully and the desired TV programme appears on the display.

"Input A" or "Input B" can be selected with the keys "+" or "–".
It is not possible to configure both inputs independently. For
operation with only one input, select e.g. "Input A"; consequently,
no signal will then be supplied to "Input B" .
For operation with both inputs, two different Sat polarisations can
be applied. By selecting "Input A" or "Input B", it is then possible
to select one Sat polarisation for conversion. In this case, it is
necessary to make sure that both signals have roughly the same
level in order to avoid disturbances (it is, however, not possible
to connect the signals from two different satellites e.g. ASTRA
and EUTELSAT to both inputs).
Select parameter "input frequency 1,236 MHz" and adjust with
the "+" and "–" keys of the control unit in 1 MHz steps between
950-2150 MHz
After selecting the parameter "input frequency" and pressing
the "submenu" key, the submenu is displayed as below :
– type description of module
– the signal/noise ratio (SNR)
– the bit error rate
– the received signal code rate (CR) determined by the device
Return to the main menu with the submenu key
Select parameter "symbol rate 27,000 MS/s".
Set the desired symbol rate in 100 KS/s steps between
2.000 and 35.000 MS/s.
