Note: Take care not to allow the blade tips to
overheat.
Warning! When cutting plastic, it is very important
not to let the blade tips to become hot. Hot blade
tips can cause the plastic to melt.

Dust extraction

The dust extraction outlet is used to connect a
vacuum cleaner or dust extractor to the tool. Dust
extraction must be used when cutting wood
Connect a vacuum cleaner hose by sliding it

into the dust extraction outlet.
Hints for optimum use
Sawing
Always use the appropriate type of saw blade
u
for the workpiece material and type of cut.
Always hold the tool with both hands.
u
Let the blade run freely for a few seconds
u
before starting the cut.
Apply only a gentle pressure to the tool while
u
performing the cut.
Work with the shoe pressed against the work-
u
piece.
As some splintering along the line of cut on the
u
top side of the workpiece cannot be avoided,
cut on the side where splintering is acceptable.

Where splintering is to be minimised, e.g. when
u
cutting laminates, clamp a piece of plywood
onto the top of the workpiece.
Support large panels to minimize the risk of
u
blade pinching and kickback. Large panels
tend to sag under their own weight.
Supports must be placed under the panel on
u
both sides, near the line of cut and near the
edge of the panel being cut.
Never hold piece being cut in your hands or
u
across your leg.
Secure the workpiece to a stable platform us-
u
ing clamps. It is important to support the work
properly to minimize body exposure, blade
binding, or loss of control.
