3. Now you can transfer the music to the HIF-1690BT and all operations can
only be operated from your mobile device.
Note: if there is an AUX cable plugged in the AUX-IN socket, the system will
automatically switch to AUX function when you press AUX/BLUETOOTH (5). Re-
move the AUX cable in order to use the BLUETOOTH function.
ENCODING
Plug USB Disk into USB socket. While listening to BLUETOOTH, AUX-IN, PHO-
NO, CASSETTE, press REC (9). Press once more to start recording. Press Stop
(26) to stop recording.
Encoding CD
1. Insert the USB device's plug into the USB socket on the side of the unit. Press
STOP BUTTON (26) to stop the playback.
2. Press RECORD BUTTON (9) to select REC-mode.
3. Press RECORD BUTTON (9) once more. Press SKIP UP/DOWN BUTTON
(3)/(4) to select your favorite tunes.
4. Wait 3 seconds, then press RECORD BUTTON (9) once more. Encoding is
performing now.
5. Press STOP BUTTON (26) to stop recording.
MUTE / EQ OPERATION
During playing mode, press the MUTE BUTTON (35) one time, the sound will not
be heard from the speakers; press the MUTE BUTTON (35) or rotate the VOLU-
ME KNOB (7) to cancel mute function and the sound can be heard again from
the speakers.
AUX-IN
This unit provides an auxiliary audio input jack for connecting external audio devi-
ce like MP3 players, CD players and allow playback of your external source
through the system speakers.
1. Use an AUX audio cable. Plug one end into the INPUT on the main unit and
plug the other end of the cable into the LINE OUT or HEADPHONE Jack of
your external audio device.
2. Turn ON the unit and your external audio device.
3. Press AUX (5).
4. Start to play the external device (see the user manual of the external device).
