In special cases, additional protective measure could be necessary. Malfunctions can be
reduced as follows:
If there are malfunctions in the power supply, then an additional EMC filter can be used in

the supply line of the device.
The output cables of the device should be laid next to each other along the floor.

After carrying out the maintenance, all parts of the device housing should be correctly
■
installed and attached.
EYE AND BODY PROTECTION
The intensive light radiated from an arc is hazardous. This radiation can not only damage your
eyes, but can also burn your skin. That is why you should never work without wearing suitable
protective clothing:
■ Welding gloves
■
Welding apron, leather sleeve protectors
■
Welder boots, welding gaiters
■
Protective mask or protective helmet which is long enough to cover your whole face.
The protective glass must meet filter protection class A5 as stipulated according to the
"Berufsgenossenschaft" (employers' and professional liability association).
CAUTION!
Do not look at the arc with the naked eye under any circumstances!
CAUTION!
Small fragments or splinters of metal that occur when cutting, cooling, or grinding metal are
also hazardous to your eyes.
So make sure you always wear suitable protective goggles or a protective shield to prevent
any injury to your eyes or face.
IMPORTANT:
To protect neighbouring workplaces or anyone else in the vicinity, a safety light curtain should
be installed around a welding/cutting area.
BURNS
The user and anyone else in the vicinity must always be protected from burns using suitable
means, such as protective clothing.
CAUTION!
Please do not ever point the arc at people or animals.
NOISE
Noise is created when cutting! The noise level depends on the cutting parameters
(amperes and compressed air supply).
