FAULT
The motors do not start
Noisy operation
Drill bit burns
Excessive vibrations
Sliding sleeve returns too
slow or too fast
Chuck will not stay attached
to shaft and falls off when
trying to install it
INSTRUCTION MANUAL - TRANSLATION OF THE ORIGINAL INSTRUCTIONS
CAUSE
▪ No power supply voltage.
▪ Disconnecting devices are "OFF".
▪ One
or
more
emergency/safety
systems enabled.
▪ Fuse tripped or faulty circuit breakers.
▪ Buttons not working.
▪ Incorrect belt tensioning.
▪ Dry shaft.
▪ Loose chuck pulley.
▪ Loose motor pulley.
▪ Insufficient speed
▪ Chips not coming out of hole
▪ Blunt drill bit
▪ Feeding speed too slow
▪ Drill bit not lubricated
▪ Worn shaft bearings
▪ Drill bit not correctly installed in the
chuck
▪ Chuck not correctly assembled
▪ Spring is not tensioned correctly
▪ Dirt or oil on the tapered inside surface
of chuck or shaft
INTERVENTION
▪ Check and restore power supply.
▪ Turn the disconnecting devices "ON".
▪ Reset the emergency systems and
check their efficiency.
▪ Replace the tripped fuses and check
the condition of the circuit breakers.
▪ Check efficiency of the START
buttons.
▪ Adjust tensioning.
▪ Lubricate the shaft.
▪ Check tightness of retaining nut on
pulley.
▪ Tighten locking screws in pulleys.
▪ Change speed.
▪ Extract drill bit frequently to clear
chips.
▪ Sharpen the drill bit.
▪ Increase feeding speed.
▪ Lubricate the drill bit.
▪ Replace bearings.
▪ Install drill bit correctly.
▪ Install the chuck correctly.
▪ Adjust spring tension.
▪ Use a household detergent to clean
the tapered surfaces of the chuck and
shaft to remove all dirt, grease and oil.
