Cervical stabilisation orthosis made of foam
Purpose
Cervi-moll is a cervical orthosis that surrounds the neck. It is used to stabilise the
cervical spine. The orthosis may only be used for cervical spine treatment.
Mode of action / Description
Cervi-moll is a stabilising orthosis made of foam providing medium support. It
stabilises the cervical spine, relieves the strain on the musculature and supports the
healing process. The cervical collar is anatomically shaped, especially in the regions
of the chin and shoulders. Different sizes as well as an individually adjustable Velcro
closure ensure optimum fit. The high level of wearing comfort is added to by a skin-
friendly cotton covering.
Indications
Whiplash; Cervical arthrosis; Sprain; Postoperatively; Torticollis; Cervical syndrome
Contraindications
Skin lesions or diseases in the affected area.
Side effects
None reported when applied and worn as intended.
Putting on the orthosis
1. Place the orthosis around the neck so that the arrow (1) on the fastening is
pointing upwards.
2. Close the velcro fastening at the back of the neck. The stabilising orthosis should
lie comfortably around the neck and be neither too tight nor too loose.
3. You can wear Cervi-moll during the day and at night.
Precautions
Follow the advice of the professional who prescribed or supplied the product. Consult
your professional if discomfort occurs. Store at room temperature, preferably in its
original packaging. For hygiene and performance reasons, do not re-use the product
for another patient. Any serious incident that occurs in connection with the product
must be reported to the manufacturer and to the competent authority of the Member
State in which the user and/or patient are/is domiciled.
Care
Close the velcro fastening before washing. After washing, carefully press out the
water and allow to air-dry.
