Once both LED indicators on the device are Green (or Blue in case of connection outside
of the "Roam-Like-At-Home" countries), the device is ready to provide an Internet
connection and accept connections from other devices.
Note:
If automatic reconnection to saved Wi-Fi networks is enabled on your device, it will
automatically reconnect to the MyT 4G box at the end of the startup procedure.
Connecting Your Device
SSID and Wi-Fi Access Key
When a Wi-Fi device establishes a connection to the MyT 4G box for the first time, you may need
to search the default Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and enter the Wi-Fi password (KEY).
Note:
The default SSID and the default Wi-Fi password are printed on the labels which are both on
the front side of the product (see Figure 1) and on the front page of this Owner's Manual. The
default SSID is InCarHotspot- XXXXXX (where XXXXXX are digits varying from device to
device).
Accessing the Internet and the multimedia services
Before accessing the Internet, please make sure that the following steps have been completed:
Your MyT 4G box is activated through the MyT app or MyToyota portal
Your PC/Device is properly configured to use wireless connections
Your PC/Device is connected via Wi-Fi to the MyT 4G box
MyT 4G Box activation
To activate your device, following steps are necessary:
1. You must visit an authorized retailer to verify your ownership of the vehicle. Only a verified
owner can view vehicle data on the MyT app or My Toyota portal. If multiple people want
to use the MyT services you will need to share your My Toyota account.
Note:
When purchasing a new vehicle the activation process might happen automatically during the
vehicle delivery.
2. A My Toyota account will be automatically created during the activation process if you do
not already have one. An activation mail will be sent to the registered e-mail.
3. You can now activate your MyT 4G box via the MyT app or the My Toyota Portal using
the credentials of the verified owner.
