1. Remove underbody panels – using a flat head screw driver and 11mm socket with extension, remove (4) push pin rivets and (2) plastic hex nuts from the plastic
panel near wheel well, both sides.
2. Lower muffler – Using an exhaust hanger removal tool, lower muffler by removing (1) rearmost rubber hanger and (1) forward rubber hanger. A spray a lubricant or
soapy water on rubber hangers makes them slide off metal pins more easily. NOTE: Be sure that exhaust is supported before removing rubber hangers.
NOTE: The rearmost rubber hanger needs to be completely removed from muffler to allow clearance to install hitch.
