to the unit.
If moisture gets into the battery compartment, dry with a cloth.
Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the toy and taken to a special waste collection point.
Do not throw batteries into a fire as they may explode or leak.
Preparation
Insertion of batteries should be done by an adult as follows:
1. Set the switch on the battery compartment to "OFF". (Fig. 1)
2. Use a screwdriver to open the battery compartment. (Fig. 1)
3. Insert the 3x 1.5V AA (LR6) batteries. Please check if the polarity is correct. (Fig. 2)
4. Screw the cover of the battery compartment back on again. (Fig. 1)
5. Set the switch on the battery compartment to "ON". (Fig. 3)
Functions
To use Annabell's functions, slide the switch on the battery compartment inside the doll to ON. Once
Annabell is switched on, she will start to make baby sounds. Annabell behaves like a real baby – with
realistic baby sounds and a cute facial expression.
Annabell can
drink real water from her bottle. When she does so, she moves her mouth and makes drinking
sounds. After drinking, Annabell needs a little burp. Sometimes her tummy hurts so much that she
starts to cry. See Point 3. Crying. (Pic. 1)
Please only feed Annabell with clean water!!! When feeding her, always push the bottle far
enough into her mouth. Please note that the doll is unable to suck up the water herself; the
bottle has to be squeezed. Alternately squeezing and releasing the bottle helps her to drink.
This guarantees that the water tank inside the doll is filled evenly.
let out a little burp after she is fed. To help her let out a little burp, tap her back a few times
between the shoulder blades. If you do not tap her back enough or at all, she will not be able to
burp. (Pic. 2)
crying. To soothe Annabell, you need to use one of the functions listed (feed with the bottle, give
her dummy etc.). If she is not soothed, she will go into standby mode after a while.
suck on her dummy. While doing so, she moves her mouth and makes suckling sounds before
starting to speak in her baby language again. (Pic. 3)
sleep. For Annabell to fall asleep, she needs to be rocked. Annabell must be in a completely
horizontal position for this! Annabell can be rocked in any direction to help her fall asleep. When
she is rocked, she will sigh and yawn, before starting to snore. (Pic. 6)
be woken up by simply holding her in the upright position. She will then start to babble in baby
language or to cry. To soothe her, you need to use one of the functions listed (feed with the bottle,
give her dummy etc.).
be given her dummy while she sleeps; she will always begin to suck on it.
bounce on your knee. To do this, Annabell needs to be moved up and down. That makes Annabell
laugh. (Pic. 5)
be tickled or cuddled on her tummy. That makes Annabell giggle. Sometimes Annabell lets out a
little fart, which makes her laugh a lot. (Pic. 4)
Dealing with problems:
Annabell does not react as described.
Functions cease working.
Please check the batteries (see Fig. 1). Are the
batteries empty? Are they inserted properly? Are they
inserted in the right way round? Insert new batteries
if required.
Please remove the batteries, reinsert them and switch
Annabell back ON.
