CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

1. Disconnect from mains power supply and let the appliance cool down.
2. Never immerse the appliance in water! Never put the appliance in a dishwasher.
3. Clean it with a damp cloth.
4. If the inside of the glass jug is discoloured, it is best to clean it with a damp cloth and some soda.
Then rinse the glass jug properly.
5. Never use harsh, corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents or sharp objects (such as knives or hard
brushes) to clean the appliance.
Descaling
Depending on the hardness of the water, limescale will be deposited.
1. Remove the limescale filter from the tea maker. Remove the limescale filter and rinse the filter under
running water. Re-insert the filter.
2. Fill the glass jug to the Max. level with a vinegar solution and bring to boil. Let the vinegar solution
soak in the jug for a few hours. Then empty and fill it up to the Max. level with clean water and bring
to boil. Empty the jug again. Repeat twice.

• Only use a vinegar solution or special commercially available limescale solvents.
