IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

* If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service
agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
* The use of accessories or attachments not recommended may result in fire, electric
shock or personal injury.
* Do not use outdoors.
* Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
* Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
* Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect,
turn any control to 'OFF', then remove plug from wall outlet.
* Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
* Do not leave unit unattended while in use.
* Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot liquids.
* If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected.
* The kettel is only to be used with the stand provided.
* This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
* -staff kitchen areas in shops offices and other working environments;
* -farm houses;
* -by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
* -bed and breakfast type environments.

GROUNDED PLUG
To reduce the risk of electric shock this appliance has a grounded plug. (3 pins) If the
plug does not fit fully into the electrical outlet contact a qualified electrician. Do not
modify the plug in any way or use an adaptor.

BEFORE FIRST USE

* Read all instructions carefully and keep them for future reference.
* Remove all packaging.
* Water boiled for the first time should be discarded.
INSTRUCTION FOR USE
* The filter has been installed on the kettle before shipping. If it has been removed,
install the filter before using the kettle. Hold the filter securely and place the slot in the
filter over the tab in the cover. Push gently and the filter will snap into position.
- Do not use the kettle without the filter in position as water may spill out when boiling.
- Do not remove the filter when the kettle is hot.
* Fill kettle between the minimum and maximum levels shown on the water level window.
Note:
Do not attempt to fill while the kettle is on the power base.
