OPERATING AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL
ELECTRICAL WATER PUMP
1. WARNINGS
The appliance may only be used after the instructions in the following document have been read
and understood.
- The appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the
potential hazards involved.
- Children must not play with the appliance.
- The machine must only be used for the purpose for which it was designed.
- Cleaning and maintenance of the machine must only be carried out by adults and only after the
machine has been disconnected from the electrical supply.
- The appliance must be powered by a properly protected electrical supply system.
- Do not use the appliance with persons swimming in swimming pools or water bodies.
- The company reserves the right to make any modifications to the machines described without
prior notice.

2. CONDITIONS OF USE

Electric surface pumps in their standard design are designed for pumping clean water and group II
liquids (non-hazardous, chemically and mechanically non-aggressive liquids).
The temperature of the pumped liquid, its density and viscosity as well as the altitude of the insta-
llation site of the electric pump can influence the efficiency of the pump.
Electric surface pumps can be used both in the domestic environment and for commercial purpo-
ses (shops, light industry, etc.).
The pump can maintain normal and continuous operation under the following conditions:
1. Maximum ambient temperature: + 40ºC.
2. Maximum water temperature: 60ºC.
3. Maximum operating pressure: 8 bar.
4. PH: for cast iron pumps: 4 ~ 10.
The performance of the electric pump must comply with the technical parameter marked on the
nameplate.

3. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

The pump must be installed in a dry and well ventilated place with an ambient temperature not ex-
ceeding 40°C (Fig.A). Fix the pump on a solid, flat surface with suitable screws to avoid vibrations.
The pump must be installed in a horizontal position to ensure correct operation of the bearings.
The diameter of the inlet pipe should not be smaller than the diameter of the inlet plateau. If the
inlet head exceeds 4 metres, use a larger diameter pipe. The diameter of the delivery pipe should
be chosen according to the flow rate and pressure required at the intake points. The suction pipe
should be slightly inclined towards the inlet to avoid the formation of air locks (Fig. B). Make sure
that the suction pipe is completely watertight and submerged in water for at least half a metre to
avoid the formation of vortices. Always fit a foot valve at the end of the suction pipe to prevent the
formation of air locks (Fig. B).
