Position the chair on the moving dolly
NOTE: Photos in this procedure show chair with side panels on; the procedure is the same for chairs that have the side panels off.
1. Position the moving dolly against the center left-hand side of the chair (Fig.11).
2. Position one person with one foot on the lower edge of the dolly to hold it in place and both hands on the chair arm; position the
second person on the opposite side with one hand on the lower edge of the chair frame and the other hand on the chair arm (Fig.12).
3. Tip the chair onto the dolly. Don't worry if it's not positioned just right – you will adjust it next.
4. Adjust the chair so that the bottom of the chair frame is aligned with the edge of the dolly (otherwise the chair will not fit through the
door) (Fig.13).
5. Using foam from the chair packaging, tip the chair up a few inches away from the dolly and insert approximately 2 inches of foam
between the chair and the dolly to level the chair (while this is also important for the chair to fit through the door, the chair need only
be approximately level, as you can rock it as necessary while moving it through the door) (Fig.14).
6. If the side panels are on the chair, place a piece of foam on top of the side panel upholstery to protect the upholstery from dirty strapping.
7. Strap the chair securely to the dolly (Fig.15).
