Important Safety Instructions

WARNING: To reduce the risk of FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK, OR INJURY TO
PERSONS:
1. For INDOOR USE ONLY.
2. Do NOT touch LEDs.
3. Do NOT remove the protective clear LED lens.
4. Do NOT look directly at lighted LEDs for any length of time.
5. Do NOT touch, operate, or install fixture while in contact with water.
6. Not intended for illumination of aquariums.
7. Not intended for recessed installation in ceilings or soffits.
8. Do NOT mount over sinks or stoves.
9. Lights may be installed inside of enclosed cabinets ONLY when the
POWER ADAPTER is located outside of the cabinet.
10. Electrical requirements:12VDC, 0.11A MAX.
11. Do NOT attempt to install while plugged in.
12. Do not use an extension cord. Use a power strip with integral
over current protection to supply power to the fixture.
13. Use only insulated staples or plastic ties (not included) to secure the cords.
14. Do not run ANY cords behind walls, ceilings, soffits, cabinets or a similar
permanent structure where it may be inaccessible for examination.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS IN A LOCATION CLOSE TO YOUR LIGHT
FIXTURE SO YOU CAN REFER TO THEM AT A LATER TIME.

The LED strips can be linked together by either using the 4-inch linking cord or the
4-pin connector. If using the linking cord, repeat steps 1 and 2. All "+" signs must be
aligned on one side and all the "-" signs aligned on the other. The raised arrows
located on each end of the linking cord must either all point at "+" signs or all point at
"-" signs and this includes the arrow at the end of the power adapter (Fig. 3). If space is
limited or if a continuous beam of light is desired, use the 4-pin connectors. Repeat
steps 1 and 2. All "+" signs must appear on one side and all "-" signs must appear on the
other (Fig. 4). When linking is complete, plug in the power adapter to the lead LED strip
and then into the wall outlet.

Troubleshooting Guide

Minor problems often can be fixed without the help of an electrician. Before doing any work
on the fixture, shut off power supply at the circuit breaker panel to avoid electrical shock.
Problem
Fixture doesn't light.
Fuse blows or circuit breaker
trips when light is turned on.

Care and Maintenance

IMPORTANT: This light fixture uses light emitting diodes (LEDs) to provide
light. LEDs do not have a filament to burn out like a traditional light bulb.
LEDs gradually emit less light over their lifetime, but will typically last 36,000
hours in a residential environment.
Disconnect power to the tape light starter kit prior to
adding additonal LED strips. Once a mounting location
has been planned and marked, install the LED strip.
Remove the protective paper on the backside of the
LED strip by peeling up and away (Fig. 1). Note: The
4 in. linking cords are flexible and can bend 90 degrees
around corners.
Attach the LED strips to the cabinet by pressing down
to ensure proper adhesion (Fig. 2). NOTE: Attempting to
relocate the LED strip and switch after installation will
affect the adhesive quality of the tape.
