Section 5: Utility Functions
A / D Calibration
The last page of utilities is a calibration section for the analog to digital convertor chips. You will notice a set of more
complete instructions displayed in the curve window area. The convertors in the DDP calibrate whenever the DDP is
turned on. If you want to "force" a recalibration of the convertors, simply hold down the "Util" button as the DDP is
turned on. If the calibration is not successful, the following text will appear in the third parameter area: "A/D CAL
FAIL!" If this happens you should turn the DDP off then back on. If the problem persists, call dbx technical support at
1-801-568-7660 for assistance.

High-Pass Filter

The DDP has a built-in high pass filter to minimize the effects of low frequency "rumble". The wide dynamic range of
the DDP makes it necessary to provide a filter to cut off undesireable information that would otherwise not be record-
ed by another device. Of course, we let you decide whether it is activated or not. It is set at 10Hz, and affects both
the analog and digital inputs.
