Step 1 : L ocate d river s ide s tep. T he s traight e nd w ith t he p lastic e nd c ab g oes t oward t he r ear
of t he v ehicle.
Step 2 : M easure t he d istance b etween e ach m ounting b rackets o n t he s tep s tarting w ith t he
front b racket.
Step 3 : S tarting w ith t he d river s ide, l ocate t he r ubber b ody p lugs o n t he u nderside o f t he
body. T here w ill b e 4 s ections o f 2 p lugs e ach -­‐ o ne n ear t he t op o f t he b ody a nd o ne n ear t he
bottom. ( NOTE: S ome a pplications u se t hree b rackets p er s ide a nd s ome u se 4 b rackets p er s ide)
Step 4 : U sing t he m easurement f rom t he b rackets, o nly r emove t he r ubber p lugs f rom t he
sections y ou w ill n eed t o m ount t he s tep. ( NOTE: S tart i n t he f ront o f t he v ehicle)
Step 5 : I nsert o ne 8 mm x 1 ¼ ' T innerman c lip i nto e ach m ounting h ole b y s liding t he c lip f rom
the l arge h ole a nd l ining u p t he t hreaded p art w ith t he s maller h ole. M ake s ure t he f lat s ide o f
the c lip f aces t oward t he o utside o f t he b ody. ( Fig. A )
Step 6 : R aise t he n erf-­‐step i nto p osition a ligning a ll b rackets w ith t he t hree m ounting h oles.
Insert a ll s ix M 8 X 2 5mm H C b olts. U se t he s maller 3 /8" w ashers f or t he b ottom b olt a nd t he
larger F ender w asher f or t he t op b olt a nd h and t ighten o nly.
Step 7 : S tarting w ith t he r ear b racket, a djust s tep a s c lose t o t he b ody a s p ossible w ithout
making c ontact a nd t orque b oth b olts t ight. T hen r epeat s ame s tep w ith t he f ront b racket a nd
the c enter b racket.
Step 8 : R epeat s teps 2 -­‐7 w ith p assenger s ide. Y our i nstall i s n ow c omplete.
