Using your sewing machine
HOW TO SEW:
Note: The sewing machine has already been threaded and is ready for use.
• Push the On/Off switch (2) to turn the sewing machine on.
• Lift the presser foot (11) using the presser foot lever (8) located behind the sewing machine.
• Make sure the thread from the presser foot extends towards the back of the machine.
• Place the piece of fabric under the presser foot (11) and lower the presser foot lever (8). The piece of fabric has to
be well tightened and wedged.
• Sew a few stitches by turning the hand wheel (3) according to the direction of arrow.
• Press the foot pedal (1) and start to sew normally.
• Move the piece of cloth on the sewing area according to the desired location of the stitches.
• When the line of stitching has been completed, release the foot pedal.
Note: Stop sewing before you reach the edge of the fabric.
Note: If your machine jams or the thread is stuck in the lower part of the sewing mechanism, gently turn the hand
wheel until the fabric or thread can be removed from the machine.
LOCKING THE STITCH:
To prevent the stitch from unraveling, you can lock the stitch by following these
instructions:
• Pull a length of thread through the tension dial (12) to release the tension on the needle
(see diagram B).
• Lift the presser foot (11) and turn the hand wheel (3) to lift the needle out of the fabric.
• Remove the fabric by pulling it gently toward you and use your thumb to press the last
stich and prevent it from unravelling.
• Cut the thread (see diagram C).
• Lock the stiches by following the instructions (see diagram D).

THREADING YOUR SEWING MACHINE:

the needle to its highest point by turning the hand wheel (3) and thread the needle from

rear of the machine.
Note: You can use the needle threader to help you to slide the thread.
