Installation position

The door damper V 1600 is typically attached vertically to the door leaf with its pivoting base
plate, usually centered on the top edge of the door leaf.

Installation steps

1. Fold out the base plate.
2. Place the base plate vertically against the door leaf, more or less centered on the upper
edge.
3. Screw it only through one of the slotted holes so that the upper end of the base plate sticks
out about 2 mm over the upper edge of the door leaf (see "Dimensions").
4. After making sure that it's in the correct position, fix the base plate with the remaining 4
screws Ø 4,5 x 19.
5. Swivel the housing downwards until it clicks in place onto the base plate.
6. Fix the hook to the door frame in such a way that the rubber roller is centered when it slides
in. The hook is at the correct height when the rubber roller lightly touches the front edge of the
hook when the roller lever is folded downwards.
Installation on steel doors
There are various mounting plates available for installation on steel doors and for horizontal
installation (note: special model necessary).
