Intended use
The split 4.1.3 calculator is an energy calculator for universal use in systems for heat and
cold measurement.
If a sealing or user lock of an installed meter is damaged or removed by a person not com-
missioned by Techem, this meter can no longer be used for legally compliant consumption
recording and the calibration become invalid.
Safety and hazard information
Ö The regulations for the use of energy meters must be observed.
Ö The piping system must be fully earthed.
Ö Lightning protection must be guaranteed via the house installation.
Ö Clean the meter only from the outside using a soft, damp cloth.
Power supply
Lithium battery 3.6 V (not a hazardous good), designed to last for the service life of the
meter.
Power supply unit
A power supply unit can be retrofitted by a certified, skilled electrician at all times for the
use of the calculator in control systems devices.
Power supply units with 230 V AC are available.
The power supply unit notifies the calculator whether mains voltage is connected.
Even in case of mains voltage failure, the recording of the energy values including the
activated radio technology remains guaranteed.
Attention: Depending on the use of the optional interfaces, the device's working life can
be limited in case of mains failure.
Device properties
The calculator is available in the following versions:
• For heat energy measurement ( )
• For cold energy measurement ( )
• For combined heat and cold energy measurement (heat with declared conformity)
