Expansion modules
• The calculator has a port for expansion modules.
• The modules have no retroactive effect on consumption recording and can be retrofitted
without damaging the calibration mark.
• The calculator incorporates automatic recognition and display of the module placed on
the ports.
• When radio and simultaneously M-Bus or M-Bus reading frequency are used for less
than 15 minutes, a power supply unit must be installed.
Installation of the modules
1
Release and remove the four Torx screws (T20) from the housing lid and remove the
cover.
2
Insert and engage the module via lugs.
3
Remove the nipple from the corresponding cable entry grommets using a pair of
pliers.
4
Push the M-Bus or pulse cable through the entry grommet.
5
Place the cable in the strain relief and connect to the modules.
Close the cover and screw together (recommended tightening torque 1.8 Nm).
6
Press the push button to check the meter function.

!
The calculator recognises a new module after approx. 2 minutes at the latest.
Recognition takes place immediately when the button is pressed briefly, e.g. for
communication with new Techem software.

!
If a power supply unit is used, clamping may under no circumstances whatso-
ever be made between the two phases as this would destroy the power supply
unit. Touch protection can be installed at all times. The supply line must be
secured with a maximum of 6 A and against manipulation.
