19. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by The Legacy Companies
may result in fire, electric shock or injury to persons.
20. Do not use this Kettle or base unit for other than intended use.
21. Never attempt to drive any objects into the appliance.
22. Never attempt to open the housing yourself!
23. The appliances are not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or
separate remote-control system.
24. Your kettle is only intended for boiling water. Never attempt to heat any other
liquids in it.
25. Do not operate dry.
26. Only operate the kettle on a firm, level, heat-resistant, non-slip surface, near a power
socket and out of the reach of children.
27. Do not use the kettle near any combustible materials.
28. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
29. CAUTION: Avoid the risk of being scalded. Hot or boiling water and steam can
cause serious burns. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance
containing hot water or other hot liquids. Never fill Kettle above the "MAX" line
shown on the water level gauge. Open the lid carefully when the water is boiling.
Always pour slowly and carefully.
30. Do not operate Kettle unless lid is fully closed.
31. Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during brewing cycles, always close the lid
during brewing water.
32. Never fill Kettle while it rests on the base unit.
33. Do not attempt to plug any device other than designated Kettle into the base unit.
34. To prevent the kettle from boiling dry, make sure the water level is never below
minimum filling (0.5 L).
35. The automatic switch-off function will automatically switch off the appliance as
soon as the boiling temperature has been reached, provided that you have
thoroughly closed the lid. Otherwise boiling water could spill.
36. Your kettle also features a boil-dry cut-out, which will switch off the kettle, should it
accidentally be operated without water. In the event of such a safety cut-out switch
off the appliance immediately, unplug it and let it cool down for approx. 10 minutes.
Afterwards, your kettle is ready for use again.
