USE
Loosen the camshaft gear
Place the camshaft-gear retaining tool (2) onto the gear of the camshaft and loosen its screw (A).
Tighten the camshaft gear
Use a torque wrench and place it into the 4-pt of the retaining tool (2).
Place the camshaft-gear retaining tool (2) onto the gear of the camshaft (see illustration) and turn it
with the specified torque against the direction of engine rotation. This reduce the clearance from
the gear drive.
NOTE:
Cylinder bank 1 - turn in the direction of the arrow
Cylinder bank 2 - turn against the direction of the arrow
Place the camshaft-gear retaining tool (1) onto the gear of the camshaft.
Then tighten the camshaft gear with the specified torque.
