Basic Recipe for Tortillas
Ingredients (for 8 - 10 tortillas):
250 g
Flour
150 ml
Water
1 tsp
Salt
1 tsp
Baking powder
4 tbsp
Vegetable oil
Flour for shaping
Oil for baking
Preparation:
1. Mix the flour, water, oil and salt and knead it for several
minutes until you have created a smooth dough. Leave
covered to stand for at least 30 minutes.
2. Divide the dough into 8 - 10 portions. Sprinkle a little flour
over this and roll it out on the countertop, dusted lightly
with flour, into thin, round, flat cakes (tortillas).
WARNING:
• Always pull out the plug from the mains socket before cleaning
and wait until the appliance has cooled down.
• Do not immerse the appliance in water! It could result in an elec-
tric shock or fire.
CAUTION:
• Do not use a wire brush or abrasives for cleaning.
• Do not use aggressive or abrasive detergents.
• Brush crumbs or leftovers from baking surface and edge.
• Clean the entire appliance only with a damp cloth.

3. Add a little oil to the Crêpe Maker and allow it to heat up.
Bake the tortillas for approx. 30 seconds on each side in
the Crêpe Maker, one after the other. While baking, use
a spatula to flatten any bubbles in the dough. Turn the
tortillas over as soon as they start to show small, brown
specks. Stack the finished tortillas and, once covered,
leave them to cool.
NOTE:
Do not let the tortillas harden! Tortillas must remain soft
enough to be rolled.
4. Stuff the tortillas as desired.
NOTE:
The freshly-baked tortillas form the basis for the prepara-
tion of additional dishes, such as e. g. enchiladas, wraps,
tacos, burritos, etc. You can find additional recipes online.
