You can secure the base of the infant car seat using the vehicle
belt system. Ensure that this system meets all requirements for a
safe installation before installing the base. See Sections 4.1–4.5
for more information about choosing a vehicle seat location and
for seat belt requirements.
1. Ensure that your vehicle is on
level ground before beginning
installation.
Note: Installing on unlevel ground
will cause the infant car seat to be
positioned incorrectly.
2. Place the base on the vehicle in the
direction indicated by the front of
vehicle labels.
3. Ensure that no vehicle seats or doors interfere with the
installation of the base.
4. View the level indicators on the base to determine if the
base is properly reclined. The level
indicators can be viewed from either
the top or the side of the base.
• The base is leveled when the
bubbles are between the indicator
lines.
• If the base is not properly reclined:
• Press the Recline Adjustment Button to deploy the recline
adjustment foot.
