Children have STRANGLED in loose or partially
buckled harness straps. Fully restrain the child
even when carrier is used outside the vehicle.
7. Pull the harness adjustment strap, as shown. The
SmartAdjust Headrest will move
down and the harness will tighten.
8. Continue pulling the harness
adjustment strap until the:
Bottom of the headrest and harness
straps are at or below the shoulders
of your child.
CHECK: Your child's head should be
at least 1 inch (2.5 cm) below the top
of the infant car seat and headrest.
Harness straps are snug, straight, and
flat against your child's shoulders.
CHECK: Harness is snug when you
cannot pinch excess harness between
fingers.
9. Position the chest clip in the middle of your child's chest
and level with their armpits.
