This information will help you to familiarise yourself
with your new device, learn all of its functions and
parts, find out important details about its first use

3. For your safety
• The product is exclusively intended for the field of
application described above. It should only be used as
described within these instructions.
• Unauthorised repairs, modifications or changes to the
product are prohibited.
Caution!
Risk of injury:
• Keep this instrument and the battery out of reach of
children.
• Batteries contain harmful acids and may be hazardous
if swallowed. If a battery is swallowed, this can lead
to serious internal burns and death within two hours.
If you suspect a battery could have been swallowed
or otherwise caught in the body, seek medical help
immediately.
• Batteries must not be thrown into a fire, short-circuit-
ed, taken apart or recharged. Risk of explosion!
• Low batteries should be changed as soon as possible
to prevent damage caused by leaking.
• Wear chemical-resistant protective gloves and safety
glasses when handling leaking batteries.

4. Elements

5. Getting started
• Open the battery compartment at the bottom of the
instrument and insert a new battery (1.5 V AA),
ensure battery polarity is correct.
• Close the battery compartment again.
5.1 Setting of time
• Turn the black dial and set the actual time (in direc-
tion of the arrow).
5.2 Setting of the alarm time
• Turn the red dial and set your respective alarm time
(in direction of the arrow).
• Slide the alarm switch upwards (in direction of the
arrow ON).
• The alarm is activated.
• Once the alarm starts to ring (4 different alarm steps),
you can activate the snooze function by pressing the
SNOOZE/LIGHT button on the top of the instrument.
The alarm will be interrupted for 4 minutes.
• To deactivate the alarm function, slide the alarm
switch downwards (in direction of the arrow OFF).
5.3 Backlight
• Press and hold the SNOOZE/LIGHT button to activate
the backlight.
6. Care and maintenance
• Clean it with a soft damp cloth. Do not use solvents
or scouring agents.
• Remove the battery if you do not use the product for
a long period of time.
• Keep the instrument in a dry place.

6.1 Battery replacement

• Replace the battery when the alarm tone declines.
• Open the battery compartment at the bottom of the
instrument and insert a new battery (1.5 V AA),
ensure battery polarity is correct.
• Close the battery compartment again.
