A/C Clutch Removal & Installation
Sanden
1. Use the spanner wrench to hold the compressor clutch stationary while removing the
clutch retaining nut. Loosen the brass retaining nuts, and adjust the position of the pins
so that they engage the holes in the clutch, then tighten the nuts so that the spanner
will function correctly. See Figure a. Insert socket through the hole in the center of the
spanner and loosen and remove the clutch retaining nut with a ratchet. See Figure b.
2. With the nut removed, remove the spanner from the compressor clutch. See Figure
c. Loosely thread the long pointed bolt (arbor) into the aluminum disc provided for
Sanden compressor clutch removal. See Figure d. Select 3 bolts from those included
in the kit that will thread into holes provided in the clutch end plate. See Figure e.
Position the aluminum disc above the clutch end plate and thread the bolts with
washers into the mating holes in the clutch end plate. See Figure f.
