OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING!

• DO NOT REFILL WITH ANY CORROSIVE OR SOLVENT BASED MATERIALS INTO THE TANK
• ENSURE WORKING AREA HAS ADEQUATE LIGHTING, AND IS CLEAN, DRY AND CLEAR OF UNRELATED MATERIALS.
• CLEAN ANY FLUID SPILLS IMMEDIATELY
• DO NOT ALLOW CHILDREN, UNAUTHORIZED PERSONS OR UNTRAINED PERSONS IN WORK AREA
• ALWAYS FOLLOW LOCAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS FOR DISPOSAL OF USED / WASTED FLUIDS AND OR PARTS
Vehicle and Fuel System Preparation
1. Always Refer to the Manufacturer's Service Manual for Specific Diagnostic, Repair and Tool Information on Your Particular Vehicle Before Attempting Any Service or Repairs.
2. Place Vehicle in "Park" with Parking Brake On and Locked into Position.
3. Place Wheel Chocks and Under Wheels.
4. Locate "In Tank" Fuel Pump (Refer to Vehicle Service Manual for Fuel Pump Location)
5. If Required, Raise Vehicle with Suitable Automotive Jack and Place Jack Stands Under Vehicle at Manufacturers Recommended Jacking Points. (Some Vehicles Do Not Require Lifting or Raising, As the "In Tank" Fuel Pump is Located Under The Back seat or Other Location)
6. Be Cautious When Working Under the Hood, If Vehicle Has Been Running Components Will be Extremely Hot, Be Careful what You Touch.
7. Remove Negative Battery Cable From Battery Before Servicing Vehicle to Protect its Electrical Circuits, in the Event That a Wire is Accidentally Pierced or Grounded.
8. Place Drain Container Under Vehicle to Ensure any Spillage is Easily Cleanable.
9. Locate Pressure Release / Test Valve on or Near the Fuel Rail and With Suitable Tool Release All Pressure From the Fuel System.
Fuel Tank Preparation and Fuel Pump Removal
10. Should the Vehicle Require the Fuel Tank to be Lowered Use Caution and Securely Place the Tank on an Automotive Transmission Jack or Garage Jack with Proper Fuel Tank Lifting / Lowering Kit Attached.
11. Remove Any Related Components of The Fuel Pump (Electrical, Fuel Lines, Vent Lines, Retaining Straps, Interior, Etc...) Take Care When Removing Fuel Lines, Point Away From Eyes
12. Lower Fuel Tank to Access The "In Tank" Fuel Pump. (If Required, Vehicle Specific)
13. Completely Clean the Area Around the Fuel Pump Lock Ring and Top of the Fuel Tank to Ensure Dirt or Debris Do Not Come in Contact With the Inside of the Tank.
14. (For Applications with Steel / Metal Lock Ring) Begin Removal of the Fuel Pump By Locating the Lock Ring. Mark the Location of the Lock Ring on the Ring and the Tank to Ensure Correct Re-Assembly of the New Fuel Pump. Remove the Lock Ring Using the Brass Drift / Punch and Dead Blow Hammer by
