WARNINGS
Please read this manual carefully before beginning installation
and carry out the procedures as specified by the manufacturer.
This installation manual is only intended for professional
personnel.
Anything not expressly included in these instructions is
prohibited.
In particular, your attention should be drawn towards the fol-
lowing warning:
• Disconnect power before making any electrical connections.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION AND INTENDED USE
DART SYNC photocells are wall-mounted photocells with a
range of up to 20 metres under optimal conditions. Coding
of the transmitted signal, to be set at the time of installation,
makes it possible to install 2 pairs of the same model with no
interference between them.
PRELIMINARY CHECKS
• Check that the item inside the packaging is intact and in
good condition.
• Ensure that the positioning of the photocells allows for cor-
rect installation and securing of the photocells (Fig. 2).
• Ensure that the photocells are positioned on parallel surfaces
and that they are all at the same height.

INSTALLATION AND ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
Operation with facing transmitter and receiver. Double safety
relay.
• Proceed as shown in Figure 3-4.
• Depending on the cable routing position, drill holes in the
base in the prearranged area (see Fig. 5).
• Proceed as shown in Figure 6 using rawlplugs (Ø max 5 mm)
and corresponding screws (not included).
• Connect the cables from the control unit to the terminals us-
ing the following diagram.
TX Connections CN1 (Fig. 13)
1 – 24 V ac-dc.
2 – 0V.
RX Connections CN2 (Fig. 12)
1 – 24 V ac-dc.
2 – 0V.
RX contact connections CN3 (Fig. 12)
3 – NO contact.
4 – COMUNE contact.
5 – NC contact.
• Apply silicone to seal the cable entry hole (Fig. 7).
• Before closing the photocell, check the alignment between
the receiver (RX photocell) and the transmitter (TX photocell).
The steady light of LED1 on the receiver (red light) confirms
alignment (Fig. 8).
• Proceed as shown in Figure 9 and 10.
Photocell synchronisation (Coding selection "A" and "B")
In the event of special installations, the photocell has two op-
erating channels coded "A" and "B" which gives the user the
option of installing 2 pairs of SYNC version photocells with no
interference between them.
The item is supplied with factory settings coded "A": Jumper
J2 on transmitter (TX) and jumper J3 on receiver in position
"A" (Fig. 15).
Both codings must be selected in the same way on both
the transmitting and the receiving ends at the time of
installation.
PROGRAMMING THE TRANSMITTER
• The transmitter is set at the factory with a transmission range
of 10metres under optimal conditions: Jumper J1 in position
2-3 (Fig. 14).
• Switching Jumper J1 to position 1-2 gives the maximum dis-
tance of 20 metres (Fig. 14).
Operating Coding Selection "A" and "B" jumper J2
The photocell has two operating channels coded "A" and "B",
Fig. 15.
Pay special care to ensure that the codings are the same way
on both the transmitter and the receiver.
Operation coding "A" or "B" is carried out with jumper "J2":
• J2 position A: Coding operation A (factory settings).
• J2 position B: Coding operation B.
