Solution
Put the plug properly in the wall socket.
Check if the power supply works. If it
works, plug in another appliance to check
if the socket is live.
If the mains cord is damaged, you must
have it replaced by Philips, a service
centre authorised by Philips or similarly
qualified persons in order to avoid a
hazard.
This is normal. After you have used the
appliance a few times, the appliance stops
producing smoke.
