4. Initial use
Check that the product and the components are intact and that the appliance is
working properly when using it for the first time Remove the kettle and the base
plate out of the packaging and connect the base plate to a properly installed
earthed socket.
Wipe the surface of the kettle using a slightly dampened cloth. To remove any
manufacturing residues, fill the water container once with cold water up to the
maximum mark before using it for the first time. Boil the water by pressing the
"ON/OFF" button on the top of the handle and then discard it.
This appliance is intended for domestic use and other similar applications such
as: in the staff kitchen in shops, offices and other business areas, in agricultural
properties, by customers in hotels, motels and other residential facilities, as well as
in B&Bs. Do not operate the appliance unattended and check it for damage before
using it each time.
