Before You Begin

CAUTION: Risk of personal injury. Cast iron baths are extremely heavy. Obtain sufficient help to
carefully lift or move the bath.
CAUTION: Risk of property damage. Do not support the bath by the rim. Provide adequate
support under the feet.
CAUTION: Risk of product damage. Do not remove the feet or studs, or damage to the bath will occur.
Observe all local plumbing and building codes.
Unpack and inspect the bath for damage. Return the bath to the carton until installation.
Carefully open the wood surround cartons and remove the components and hardware pack. Inspect
all the wooden pieces for damage. If you observe any damage, do not install the bath or the wood
surround. Report the specific problem to your dealer.
Before installation, ensure proper access to the final plumbing connections.
Install the bath to an adequately supported, level subfloor.
Provide properly dimensioned framing.
This bath conforms to ASME Standard A112.19.1/CSA B45.2. All dimensions are nominal.

1. Prepare the Site

NOTICE: Provide adequate floor support.

information.
Make sure the flooring offers adequate support for your bath. Verify the subfloor is flat and level.
When constructing the framing, be sure to allow for the thickness of the finished wall materials.
Position the plumbing. Cap the supplies and check for leaks.
