DESCALING

Within a short time and depending on the quality of your water, limescale deposits may form on
the base of the warming tank. You should therefore descale your device at regular intervals
(after no more than 5 cycles) to ensure that the water evaporates properly. The heating times
for the device will become much longer if the device scales up.
Disconnect the device from the power supply before descaling it and descale it only when it has
cooled down.
To descale the device, fill the warming tank with 100 ml of table vinegar followed by 100 ml of
boiling water. Leave this to take effect for no more than 30 minutes. Rinse out the warming tank
with fresh water. Ensure that no liquid penetrates the inside of the device when filling and
emptying.
When descaling, do not leave the vinegar mixture in the device for more than 30 minutes.
Leaving it for too long may damage the device.

3.3 MAINTENANCE & SPARE PARTS
Regularly check the device for damage before using it. Check the sound condition of the
warming tank and, in particular, the power cable. If you have any problems, have a look at
Section 4.

To change the fuse, unscrew the knurled nut on the end of the vehicle adapter and remove the
defective fuse. Replace the defective fuse with a new fuse and put the vehicle adapter back
together as shown in Figure 10.
