3. Installing the batteries
WARNING: Make sure the camera power switch is in the OFF position before inserting
or removing batteries.
The working voltage of the camera is 12V. To supply power for the camera, 8 AA (LR06)
batteries are needed.
After opening the camera's front cover, make sure the power switch is in the OFF position and
pull out the battery tray by pressing the
tray according to the polarity signs. Push the battery tray back into the battery chamber.
The following batteries with 1.5V output can be used:
High density and high performance alkaline batteries (recommended)
Rechargeable alkaline batteries
Rechargeable NiMH batteries
WARNING
Risk of explosion if batteries are replaced by an incorrect type.
Do not use battery types other than the ones specified in this guide.
Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix standard and rechargeable batteries.
Dispose of used batteries according to regulations.
Optionally, you can connect an external DC power source to the "DC in" jack at the bottom of
the camera. Please use a compatible power source cable (not provided) to connect the external
DC power source with the power input jack of the camera, making sure that the polarity is
correct.
4. Inserting the SD card
WARNING: Make sure the camera power switch is in the OFF position before inserting
or removing the SD card.
The camera uses a standard SD (Secure Digital) memory card to save photos (in .jpg format)
and/or videos (in .avi format). SD and SDHC (High Capacity) cards up to a maximum 32GB
capacity are supported.
Before inserting the SD card into the card slot after opening the camera's front cover, please
make sure that the write-protect switch on the side of the card is not in the LOCK position.
Insert the SD card into the card slot with its label side upwards and the contacts facing down
(see icon on the right side of the slot). A "click" sound indicates that the card is installed
successfully.
