7) Using the supplied
ferrules, crimp your
existing L1 wire to the
extension cable L1.
Crimp your existing
ground to the extension
cable ground. Crimp
your existing L2 wire to
the short red wire
already installed inside
the MODEL 1X case.
8) Upon completion of
step 7, three ferrules
should be crimped in
place as shown in
Figure 5.4
9) Insert the crimped
ferrules into the
appropriate lugs of the
MODEL 1X power
connector block for L1,
Ground, and L2. Tighten
the lugs securely.
CAUTION: Breaker must remain off until installation is complete.

10) One conductor of the
extension cable must
now be connected to the
bottom right terminal of
the MODEL 1X controller.
Bend this wire as shown
in Figure 5.6 to align it
with the terminal.

11) Insert the stripped
portion of the wire under
the clamping plate of the
terminal and tighten
securely as shown in
Figure 5.7
