• Ensure that the detector has a clear line of sight, as infrared beams
cannot penetrate solid objects.
The ESYLUX presence detector consists of a power and a sensor section.
Install the power section in the required position (fig. 2) and connect
the presence detector as shown in the circuit diagram (fig. 3).
You can adjust the detector's settings using the DIP switches on the
back of the sensor (see the "DIP switch" section in chapter 6). This
must be done before the device is activated. Plug the sensor section
into the power section and gently screw in place.
4 • START-UP
Connect the power supply
• A warm-up phase of approx. 25 seconds is initiated.
The red (light channel) and the blue LED will flash alternately.
The connected lighting will be switched off during this time.
The detectors are preset to factory settings/remote control and are
therefore immediately ready for use after the warm-up phase.

5 • OPERATION
Depending on the preset light value, each time movement is detected
the red LED will briefly flash twice (the LED can be switched off – see
chapter 8/Remote control). The presence detector operates according
to its default factory settings.
Delay – not in pulse mode!
The detector will only activate the lighting after a time delay to
prevent a sudden change in brightness from causing undesired
switching on/off of the lighting.
Time delay from "light to dark": 30 seconds =
red LED lights up for channel 1.
Time delay from "dark to light": 5 minutes =
red LED flashes slowly for channel 1.
The "blind" function interrupts the time delay from "light to dark"
if the light value falls below 50 lux and then switches the lighting
on at once.
S1 button/remote control
The presence detector is equipped with a connection for an external
button. This can be used to manually switch the switching channel
on or off.
Manual switch-on – not in pulse mode!
Briefly press S1/remote control
switched on for as long as the detector continues to detect
movement. The predefined time setting will start once movement is no
longer detected. Once this time has elapsed, the lighting will switch
off and and the detector will revert to the set operating mode.
: the lighting will then remain
