The fact that the towing bracket has been mounted to the vehicle must be entered in the
vehicle papers at the next possible opportunity. The mounting instructions must be added to
the vehicle papers.
General Installation Intructions:
If present, remove insulating compound and/or underseal in the area of the towing bracket
contact surfaces. Coat bare bodywork with anti-corrosion paint.
Mount 7-pin electrical system as per DINV 72570.
Mount 13-pin electrical system as per ISO 11446.
Retighten all mounting bolts of the towing bracket after aprox. 1000 towing km. Please note,
that after mounting the drawbar the mass of your vehicle will change.
Mounting instructions:
Remove the drawbar eyes on both sides (these will not be reinstalled later).

According to the drawing loosely fix the side plates (2,3) to the chassis beams at positions
–
„a" and „b" with attached bonding units.
According to the drawing loosely fix the ball mounting plate (4,5) to the drag hook body (1)
–
at positions „c" with the attached bonding units.
Loosely fix the drag hook body (1) to the side plates at positions „d".

Loosely fix the socket mounting plate (6) and the drawbar ball on the ball mounting plate
–
at positions „e".
Adjust the drag hook into mid-position then tighten all the screws.

According to the regulations connect the electric wires by cracking the rear bundle.
–
Only specialised services are authorised to install drawhooks.
