In figure you will find an overview image of the application tool.

1 Hanging loop for safety cord
2 Adjustment dial for setting the tension force
3 Tension indicator

6 Using the tool

CAUTION
There is a risk of injury when pulling the trigger and tightening the tie, or when
using unsuitable ties.
f Always wear safety glasses during use.
f When pulling the trigger, make sure that no limbs are between the trigger
and handle.
f When working above head level, attach a safety cord to the hanging loop at
the bottom of the handle.
f Only use HellermannTyton MST-M series metal ties.
f If necessary, attach a safety cord to the hanging loop
f Set the desired tension force (see section „Setting the tension force").
f Tighten the tie by hand. Make sure that the marking TCA J
facing up. MST-M series ties have a red mark
surface.
f Insert the tie into the insertion slot as shown in Figure
f Make sure that the head of the metal tie
correctly within the insertion slot
f Figure shows the correct position of the head. If the upper part of the

head is not flush with the surface of the insertion slot, the position is not
correct (Figure

f Keep pulling the trigger
