FuNCtIoNS oF tHe CD plAYer

playing a CD
• Open the CD compartment by pressing the EJECT button.
• Insert the CD into the compartment (with the label facing upwards).
• Close the compartment by pressing the EJECT button.
• Press PLAY to listen to the first track on the CD.
• The display shows the track number and the elapsed time of the current track.
pausing a CD
• Press the PAUSE button to pause the playback of the CD.
• Press the PLAY button to resume playback of the CD.
Selecting the track
• You can select the next or previous track during playback by pressing the SKIP buttons
on the MC 20 unit (5, 6) or on the remote control (17).
• A track can also be selected directly by using the numeric buttons on the remote control
(10) to enter the track number.
Searching within a track
• Press the right/left search button on the remote control (16) to search forwards/backwards
within a track respectively. Pressing the PLAY button will stop the search function.
Stopping playback from a CD
Press the STOP button.
CD repeat mode
Repeating a track:
Start the CD. The REPEAT button repeats the current track. The following appears in the
display: REP TRACK.
Repeating the entire CD:
Start the CD.
Press the REPEANT button twice.
The following appears in the display: REP ALL.
Stopping the repeat function:
Keep pressing the REPEAT button until REP OFF appears in the display.

Selecting the tuner band
• Select TUNER as the audio source using the SOURCE (MC 20, pos. 7) or TUNER button
(on the remote control, pos. 4).
• Select the FM or AM band using the FM/AM button (remote control, pos. 7).
• Press the FM-MODE button (remote control (8)) to switch between mono reception
(recommended for poor reception) or stereo reception.
Station search
• Select TUNER as the audio source and choose the band (see above).
• Use the TUNE buttons on the front of the MC 20 (5, 6) or the TUNING buttons on the

remote control (16):

• Briefly pressing these buttons increases or decreases the tuning frequency by 50 kHz.
• Pressing and holding these buttons searches for the next or previous station on the
band.
Station presets
• A total of 40 FM and AM stations can be stored in the memory.
• Select the desired station (FM or AM). Open the memory using the PROGRAM button on
the remote control (11).
• Choose the desired station number via the numerical buttons on the remote control (10).
• The station number flashes in the display.
• Press the PROGRAM button again to store the station.
• The station number stops flashing.
• Repeat this procedure to store other stations.
Selecting the preset stations
Press one of the PRESET buttons on the remote control (17) to select the desired station
number.
The memory slot can also be selected directly by using the numerical buttons.
