Electrical System for Towing Hitch
32. Insert the single 2.5mm² red/black wire into chamber 27 on the fuse box (Fig. 1/2).
33. Close the purple catch on the fuse box and replace the black cover.
34. Insert the 20A fuse provided in fuse position 27.
35. For vehicles with APS (Acoustic Parking System): Lay the brown/white wire to the control unit
of the APS (Fig. 1/7) and connect. Unlock the 16-pin brown plug on the PDC control unit and
pull it off. Insert the brown/white wire in chamber 5 of the contact holder (remove existing wire
first if necessary). Attach the 16-pin plug to the PDC control unit again.
36. Only for 13-pin trailer socket: Using the white 3-pin connector (Fig. 1/5) for the constant plus
extension kit, the functions "Constant plus" can be retrofitted. The constant plus extension kit
is available from specialist shops under the Westfalia part no. 300 027 300 113.

Check operation

37. Re-connect ground of vehicle battery.
38. The vehicle's on-board electrical system control unit and the cluster instrument need to be
coded using the VAS tester for expanding the function for trailer hitch or trailer control unit.
39. Check the operation of the trailer using suitable test equipment (with load resistances) or with
a trailer.
40. Secure all cables with cable ties.
41. Re-fit all disassembled parts.
