Emptying the vacuum cleaner

Emptying the vacuum cleaner canister
1. Switch the appliance off and disconnect the
power cable from the socket.
2. Loosen the fasteners (A) and remove the top
vacuum cleaner part.
3. Empty content of the vacuum cleaner canister.
4. Dispose of the sucked impurities in conformity
with the valid legal regulations.
5. Place the top part on the vacuum cleaner.
6. Close the fasteners (A). Check whether the fas-
teners are fixed firmly.
After emptying: prior to inserting the sealing ring and the top vacuum cleaner
part, clean the canister edge and sealing of the ring and the top vacuum
cleaner part. If the seals or the groove are damaged or dirty, suction power
drops.
Prior to inserting the suction hose: clean the hole and the hose neck.
Filter bag replacement
1. Switch the appliance off and disconnect the
power cable from the socket.
2. Loosen the fasteners (A) and remove the top
vacuum cleaner part.
3. Take the filter bag neck (B) carefully out of the
hole (C).
4. Close the filter bag by the slide (D).
5. Dispose of the filter bag in conformity with the
valid legal regulations.
6. Clean the vacuum cleaner canister.
7. Place the filter bag (B) into the cleaned canis-
ter (B).
8. Press the filter bag neck firmly onto the hole
for hose connection.

9. Place the top part on the vacuum cleaner.
10. Close the fasteners (A). Check whether the fas-
teners are fixed firmly.
Dust bag replacement
1. Switch the appliance off and disconnect the
power cable from the socket.
2. Loosen the fasteners (A) and remove the top
vacuum cleaner part.
3. At first close the dust bag, using a clamp (B).
4. Take the dust bag neck carefully out of the hole
for hose connection (C).
5. Close the dust bag by the slide (D).
6. Dispose of the dust bag in conformity with the
valid legal regulations.
7. Clean the vacuum cleaner canister.
8. Place a new dust bag into the cleaned canis-
ter.
9. Dust bag vent holes (E) must be placed inside
the vacuum cleaner canister.
10. Press the dust bag neck firmly onto the hole for
hose connection.
11. Pull the top dust bag edge down over the
vacuum cleaner canister edge.
12. Place the top part on the vacuum cleaner.
13. Close the fasteners (A). Check whether the fas-
teners are fixed firmly.
Filter cartridge replacement (VYS 30-21)
Never vacuum without the filter!
1. Switch the appliance off and disconnect the
power cable from the socket.
2. Loosen the fasteners (A) and remove the top
vacuum cleaner part.
3. By rotating counterclockwise loosen and take
out the filter fixing plate.
4. Take the filter cartridge out.
5. Cleaner the filter seal (B), check the seal for
intactness, replace if necessary.
6. Dispose of the old filter cartridge in conformity
with the valid legal regulations.
7. Insert a new filter cartridge.
8. Place the filter fixing plate and fix it firmly by
rotating it clockwise.
